Seagal or Silva?
Seagal, probably. And I think you could, too. We're talking about a fraud who never had skills beyond that of a moderate martial arts practitioner. He got put to sleep by a geriatric Gene LeBell and ran scared from Van Damme (who isn't an experienced fighter, either, when it comes to full contact.)
I don't know why you're defending him. This man has made a career as a charlatan. He claims to be a CIA advisor/secret agent, a reincarnated Buddhist lama from Tibet, a zen master, an expert blues musician who learned from Chicago legends, a Brooklynite (he never grew up or lived in BK,) from the hood (just listen to his attempt at ebonics when he talks to Black people,) Italian (he's got no Italian ancestry,) claims to have fought the yakuza, which was proven false, claims that Ueshiba taught him "secret killing techniques" (which don't exist in Aikido, plus he never studied under Ueshiba,) and more.
He was also sued for human trafficking in sex slaves and has sexually assaulted several women and was involved in low-level, mafia criminal activity.
Oh, and he also doctored his own hairline to try and make himself look more like a samurai.

I was concerned with one specific claim
Yeah, and I don't buy them. I buy that he got a black belt in aikido, but he lied when he said it was under Ueshiba himself, plus his own master's fam said that the only reason he achieved the belt was because he had a lazy judge during his test. As for the other belts... there's no evidence that he has them beyond him mentioning them in various martial arts magazines (which I obviously can't show you now) and websites, which you can see for yourself. He has never used any advanced techniques from those schools in any movie or video footage. That, combined with his outlandish history of lies makes me inclined not to believe that he earned them unless I see solid evidence to the contrary.
Next up they will hire Keanu Reeves to show them how to stop bullets

At what point did Steven Segal become an expert in tactical stategy, especially in something as sensitive as a school shooting. You could have hired ex Navy Seals or Army Rangers and you would have gotten similar results and less drama. I mean dude is a part time cop, and not really in the streets like that, though he is an excellent martial artist (and excellent shot considering his lack of military training).

My Ex Boss was a Chinese Kung fu master who had been doing Kung fu for over 40 years..he told me seagal was the real deal..not just some movie actor..

He once came to my judo class, I'll say this he knows what the fukk he's doing, I watched him and my sensei spar, he took him down with relative ease, but this was years ago and Segal was in better shape.
