I think the show's biggest mistake was putting that corny accent on Stefan's character's name. Should just gone with Stephan or something, that shyt was not smooth at all

Hell even though we still call him Urkel he managed to step out of that type casting...the revival of that character with Snoop was hilarious tho

The best thing for his career was creating the Stefan character because it allowed people to see slightly more depth in him as a person. His career was meh after family matters, but people know Jaleel isn't really Urkel in the same way they couldn't separate Dustin from Screech.

This thread got me watching it now on HULU. I'm on Season 6 right now and they got some Russell Wilson-looking frat guy. Also "Ceddy's" girlfriend Levita from the Jamie Foxx Show showed up.

I didn't realize how CORNY it was when I was growing up. That theme song is EXTRA corny too. In many episodes, blacks and whites coexisted in racial harmony so that they could acheive maximum corniness.

Jaleel White did a great job. He pretty much fathered Sheldon from Big Bang Theory's whole style.
