steve's "visionary" track record is all dependent on who you ask. half of the people say he's a deal wizard, the other half say he's a snake. goes right in line in what people usually say about a successful businessman in any market.

50 sounds like wendy day (who Ive got a lot of respect for, also). steve prolly got some bread off both of them and there are your hard feelings.

Angie always lowkey throwing shade at 50.maybe son be dissing her favorite guests. this is the 2nd interview she did where fif kinda getting clowned:ehh:

Her and Flex do that shyt ALL the time when another popular guest comes on, they throw shade at whoever that guest is beefing with. I'm glad Nas called both of them out on that bullshyt back in the day because no rapper has had the balls to do so since

im talking about the people, like french montana once said :lolbron: "nobody wanna wake up and look like u, dunky" , breh look at puff, dude can get anybody in the game behind ciroc, same wit jay, but he dont really focus in the relm of selling items like that any more, if he did it would be on that level, look what he did ace of spade, and that ugly ass shyt he was selling at barneys that was selling out

if u have money i somebody will stand behind u, but it wont be any body thats at the top of they genre and have influence, melo cant get anybody to buy his shoes, how would get anybody to buy a 50 product

the 3 nba players who really have influence is kobe, bron and KD, none of them would align theyself wit dude, and all of them will support a brand like beats before that, i dont think any one of them would be in the brand on liquor so i cant see them messing wit ciroc, but i know u get what i mean

if need be jay can call on a bron, pharrel, kd, Sue, cano(the top dudes in they fields) to stand next him, 50 had that once thru a friendship wit Floyd but we all saw how that ended.....50 being a bitter bytch :russ:

dammit you said some strong stuff all in this thread!! lol

wow

true, but with Kendrick most of the credit goes to top dawg not Dr Dre, he was just a co sign basically, Ciroc is doing great but diddy is musically just as gone as 50, you can't attribute Ross' success to him.

Birdman has control of hot artist but the point Steve was making was that the actual ARTIST themselves need to be musically relevant & have hits. he did say that.
The reason they are in position to give co-signs is because they are relevant to the culture. French Montanta doesn't move many units but he's relevant to the culture. Diddy doesn't have any popping artists under his label, but he's still relevant to the culture. That's why he has the Ciroc deal, that drink is relevant to the culture.

Same thing with Dre, dude is just relevant to the culture. That's why Beats matter, that's why Iovine put him with Kendrick. It's big, it's relevant to the culture.

The Red October's dropped and hypebeasts/sneakerheads/the internets etc. lost their shyt. Yeezy's are a high low volume product but they are super relevant to the culture.

Rozay has been losing steam but MMG have been one of the most successful labels in the last 5 years. Without being pop, they had a firm grip on urban radio and the internet.

50's best ventures happened a hot minute ago and he's not relevant to the culture except for not being relevant.
