So Steve did finally claim that daughter? It looks like they are exploring it in this movie and they have some type of relationship. I'm wondering why we haven't seen her in public. Also, this is a automatic Oscar nomination for supporting actor for Seth Rogan:yeshrug:

He named one of the early Macs the Lisa after her. They reconciled years later

Now obviously the movie could be a piece of crap, but I'm willing to bet a movie directed by Danny Boyle, written by Aaron Sorkin, and starring Michael Fassbender is going to be better than a movie directed by and written by guys with less of a pedigree and starting Kelso..no diss to Kelso at all but he's not fukkin with Fassbender

My issue isn't with the production but the subject. It's like rebooting Spiderman. I get it. Terrible or not, JOBS told this guy's story (focusing on iPhone instead of Mac doesn't make a difference to me) and the book that preceded it, told the more in-depth story. Hollywood thinks this needs to be told and I beg to differ. :manny:

The projects were in conception at the same time though, which happens all the time in hollywood. Two studios option something at the same time, and one gets the jump because their production process goes faster and they get to release it quicker. This one has dealt with several setbacks, including finding a lead actor and director. Originally, it was a David Fincher joint with Sorkin writing but Fincher dropped out..along with a revolving door of lead actors and then they finally settled on it. Jobs was a smaller movie and I believe came out of an independent studio, so it was easier to move the train along. It's similar to us getting Armageddon and Deep Impact in the same year or Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down in the same year. Or the amount of Robin Hood stuff we're going to get next year or the year after. So its not a matter of them thinking the story needs to be told again, it's a matter of them already setting out to tell the story and they weren't going to stop because someone else beat them to the finish line, especially when they have a better pedigree behind the camera and in front of it
