Last year when I was 33 me and a couple of my dudes went to this hood spot on the east side to show love for a homie who was hosting/DJ'ing the event. I hadn't been in that environment in a minute. Long story short, I ended up bucking with some lil nicca. Scratches on my neck, shirt got torn. The nicca I fought was talking bout going and getting his pistol, he would catch me on the flip side, saying its a small world...typical rah, rah "Ima kill you" type shyt. I got home and seen my girl and my kids sleep...I was thought to myself, I'm 33 years old with two kids out here fighting with young niccas in a hole in the wall club on the eastside of Detroit like I'm still 22. That's when I retired from that shyt. Would never be in a spot like that or around that type of energy. Hopefully at 38 Steve got his wakeup call. Let that shyt go my dude.

At some point you got to move on...it's like getting fresh as hell and going to the mall as a young dude to walk around with your niccas and get numbers...that shyt was fun as hell and I got a lot of cool ass memories and experiences, but that shyt is over. Same thing with them hood ass clubs...I got stories for DAYS. Shyt I'll never forget. But young niccas always clown the old man in the club...until they become the old man in the club. Steve just got beat out of his chain at 38 years old in a venue where 95% of them niccas were over 10 years younger than him. That's some "I need to look in the mirror and re-evaluate my life" type shyt to think about.

After heading to his wiki page I've come to the conclusion that dude is depressed...


His career was cut short/interfered with by a thigh injury (tear) in which injuries tend to deeply effect most athletes more than people realize...

You go to doing something everyday and being extremely good at it, successful, popular, to nothing in a short amount of time.


He also has a disease:

Francis has suffered from Ménière's disease, which causes episodes of vertigo, tinnitus, and aural fullness.

And i'm guessing all of that takes it's toll after while. Explains why he looks SO flabby, sick, and weak
