I don't have a problem with it either way; the only thing is it didn't actually improve the league's image. The people who were shytting on the players for wearing du-rags and jerseys weren't going to stop shytting on them because they were wearing suits, they were just going to find another topic to complain about to hide their racism.
This is the exact issue...Stern didn't ask them to wear suits to look more professional...Stern asked them to wear suits because they did some report that showed that white people stopped coming to nba games...that white people stopped watching nba games...that white people stopped buying nba merchandise...
So the whole thing came off as Stern doing this to appease white people...which is crazy...Allan Iverson is looked at by white america as a thug...is he any less of a thug in a suit...Ron Artest was look at by white america as some crazy ass nikka running loose in the stands...does a suit make ron artest any less crazy...
For the people saying "oh what are you crying about you make millions of dollars"...that argument doesn't make any sense to me...because the average person is making 10 of thousands of dollars, and you are the average person...so of course you would were a suit, because you are not going from making millions to making millions, you are going from making 10 of thousands to millions, so wearing suits is a small price to pay.... People at foxconn work in some of the worst conditions in the world, to the point that they just started jumping off buildings as a way out...they don't get lunch breaks, didn't have toilets, had to work 18 hour shifts non stop with no sleep, when they did sleep they had to sleep at work...so if they started doing that shyt at your job would you just do it and not complain or not outright quit? And if your answer is anything other than "i would just suck it up and do it" then...foxconn employees put up with it for 96 cents an hour...so what make you so good that you won't for 15 dollars an hour?
