Everyone is confused about the clothespin.

Clothespin? • /r/112263Hulu

I took it as his parents abused him or some shyt he's into weird sexual masochism

I think that's pretty much it, to show that he's a sexual weirdo. In the book, Clayton is super OCD and he tells Sadie that she's disgusting for ever wanting to have sex and makes them sleep with a broom in between them. The clothespin thing is kind of a weird spin on it. They could've just kept the story the same as the book to make it less confusing.

4 episodes in and I'm really digging it so far. I can't get over Jake bringing Bill along though. That was such a big change from the book and he's just fukking things up.
Interesting. I'm not that familiar with the novel, I just assumed they were keeping true to the text by having someone go along with Jake to have as a juxtapose. Any other drastic changes from the book?

:camby: go to sleep breh

i like franco as a person. but let's not kid ourselves and act like he's some great actor. it's hard to take him seriously. had a few unintentional LOLs in this episode alone.

had they cast say Oscar Isaac this show goes up a whole tier.

i'm still enjoying it though.

kinda confused about the whole clothespin thing though
Purely as an actor - sure, but Franco's look suits the role and time frame better than Isaac would. I just can't take dude seriously whenever he squints - which seems to be every time he has any kind of expression on his face.

In the book, Jake goes back in time a few times before finally staying back for the JFK assassination. For instance, he botches the killing of Frank on his first try. So he comes back to do it again and just shoots him in the head at a cemetery.

Also in the book, Jake never hung out with Frank. Just followed him around.

There are other minor changes, but that's just me nitpicking since I love the book so much.

I like this show a lot. Franco is actually doing a great job.

They missed Oswald though :why:

The past was really pushing back this episode :francis:

Last episode was good, the misleading doctor at the end was stupid though but I really loved Billy's role in this episode.
