Also remember there were reports that he wanted to join the Big 3 Celtics in 2007, when at the time he already retired. He wanted a title that badly

THIS IS CLOSE BUT NOT ACCURATE.

BOSTON TRIED TO BRING HIM
OUT OF RETIREMENT BUT HE DECLINED.
HE SAID HE TRIED TO RAMP U
FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS
BUT HE COULDNT GET HIS BODY RIGHT.

Yea to this day it's hilarious to glorify a regular season blowout 10 games into the season as "proof" of what would happen 72 games and 1 playoff round later :mjlol:

Imagine if we used that logic for this season.

And at the end of the day, Indiana had the same flaws as Detroit: shytty rough offense and no superstar go-to player. They'd be in the same hell Detroit was in vs Miami/San Antonio, and would be just as likely to lose to Detroit in 6 games again since the Pistons played much better in the playoffs than they did throughout the '05 regular season.

They weren't good enough to beat the Pistons or the Heat in the playoffs. And if they matched up against the Nets, they probably don't beat them either. And they still get washed by whoever comes out of the West.

If they crashed out during a regular season game, they would have done worse during the playoffs.

Oh yeah shout out to David Stern. If malice in the palace happened now, Adam Silver would never let Arrest play again.

It's plausible that they beat Indiana, most of the games from when they lost the series the yr prior were pretty close, and they upgraded from Al Harrington to Jackson.

Just like its plausible that not of that matters if Wade doesn't get hurt in the ECF, because a healthy Miami team doesn't lose to either DET/IND imo
