Unless you're reading this man's mail and every message he receives, you can't really know what people are saying to him or what he goes through :manny:

Mexicans and white people are probably calling him all kinds of shyt in letters because they damn sure do it on Youtube :mjpls:
It's categorically impossible that racism is more prevalent now than today. First off, it's almost impossible for him to know since he would have to live in both eras. Now, considering the civil rights movement, a time where the law supported racial discrimination, was in existence during part of Ali's career it is ridiculous for him to say. He had to be getting caught up in his emotions. It just doesn't make any sense.

So, we not going to talk about how CAC only praise Ali now in a reduce state. But not the loud mouth nikka he was in his prime. :what:

Coli rather argue about two black men. Instead of discussion white supremacy.
If you wanna talk white supremacy take it to tlr they do it in there all the time. The convo is going to go the way the convo goes.

Not necessarily, How many times a wee are we seeing/reading about unarmed black men gunned down by police? We are a hair trigger away from it being like the 50s all over again, we're now reading reports of black men being hung from trees.
:comeon:Let be realistic tho. I'm not saying there is no racism in the world, or that there are no racial atrocities committed, but to compare the racial temperature of our time period to Ali's is foolhardy. I have no doubt Floyd experiences racism but I can guarantee he did not race the same amount of racism has Ali

No doubt, Back in Ali's day the klan was still riding through neighborhoods snatching up black folks. My point is while Ali's generation had it worse we are still suffering from some pretty sick shyt in this day & age.

how can you bring racism on yourself?...that makes no sense and that's where sas, skip, and cari lose whatever point they were trying to make....floyd might bring a lot of shyt on himself with the way he flaunts his wealth and the persona he created to aquire that wealth, but racism shouldnt be one of those things.....

He said it's just as bad. We can dismiss that claim

how can you dismiss that so easily?...the same shyt is still going on...the only difference is it was more open back then, now it's more subtle/behind closed doors....

now let me clarify: i'm not trying to make this a competition about which is worse, just asking when the same shyt is going on today like it was in the past, how can you dismiss this man's claims so easily?....

It's probably true that White America only adopted and co-signed Ali's greatness after old age and Parkinson's set in.

And Ali was a great fighter.
But I can't ignore the way Ali treated Joe Frazier...who was a hard-working country dude from the south. And for Ali to clown him the way he did...I don't know if I can get over that.

So yeah, give Ali his due, but don't forget that he was kind of a dikk.
