steph never had to run pick and roll with tyrone hill either and kick it out to snow and mckie on the perimeter

Amen :mjlol:

Curry has it very easy. The team just clicks. Curry gets great picks and assists off most his scoring. Teams can't focus on him like they did iverson cause IGGY draymond, Klay or someone else will kill you.

Iverson was a one man army. Iverson was pretty much breaking down defenders in ISOs every game and taking it to the rim over giants. His mid range was pretty good. Only thing he didn't have was a consistent 3 point shot which curry has. Imagine if Iverson could shoot like curry? He'd score like 40 a game.

Curry depends on 3s and his teammates setting him up.

Iverson didn't depend on anything but himself. He scored his 30+ ppg the hard way and took a beating. Ppg percentage or shots per game is irrelevant.

Plus AI plyed against better players and team. He did more than curry with less for like 6 seasons straight. And was arguably the best in the league for 2-3 of them.

Curry has 1 hot year so far. He has to prove himself more.

Holy shyt. I liked Iverson but how the fukk did you not see that Iverson was the reason that his teams didn't "click" because he was a bigger ballhog than Kobe!

Every night they send three dudes at Steph when he crosses half court to get the ball in hands. That's why Draymond has so many assists because Steph dumps it to him from 27 feet and that causes a 4 on 2 situation and Draymond drives to the basket and when the big steps in he dishes to an open man for an alley or for an open 3. If they did that shyt to Kobe on a nightly basis why Lamar Odom never had the amount of assists that Draymond averages?

SAS has made it a point on first take to say iverson would tell him his teammates didn't want the ball so he just shot it. They were all defensive role players with limited to none offensive capacity

How well did Iverson ever exist with any offensively talented players? I don't care what that idiot SAS says, I watched Iverson play. The most astounding thing about him was that he lasted so long despite dominating the ball more than any player i've ever seen. He'd regularly have games shooting 13-33 or something similar.

Could Iverson exist with another offensively talented player and take less than 20 shots a game? hell no. There's this strange idea that if you take a 3 players that score 20 ppg on separate teams, put them on the same team, then all 3 should continue to score 20 ppg. That doesnt account for the fact there are limited possessions. Iverson did not have the ability to play off the ball and to play without dominating the ball.

Iverson was unfairly criticized when he actually played, now he's unjustifiably lionized and made out to be a GOAT... he is not. He was an influential and entertaining player but he was a ballhog .

Curry might be the most dominant offensive player since....Shaq (another player better than Kobe at his peak). Curry bends the defense with the three just like Shaq bent the defense by making it collapse inside.

As i posted earlier, Iverson scaled his game back in denver with melo

He shot 19-20 times and shot 45 and 46% both seasons. That's pretty good FOR HIM

Yeah ivy was never a spot up shooter, so playing off the ball wouldn't work for him. But are you going to let eric snow handle or george mckie while iverson would've been shaded off ball since those guys would be forced to beat you

Larry Brown constructed that team around Iverson. It was Iverson and defenders. When iverson played with Chris WEbber or igoudala, they both complained about his ball-hogging. If Iverson had started with a coach like Pop who would have molded him like he molded TP, then Iverson probably would be considered a tier one pg. That didn't happen, however. I know he had the capability give that he'd have games with 40 points and 12 assists. But that's just not going to work long-term, and that level of ball-dominance is unworkable in today's league.

Kobe shutting down the greatest shooter the league has seen? Hold up....we gonna act like prime Kobe didn't get hit up for 60 by Gilbert Arenas........in L.A. :jbhmm:

...or was his prime in '01 when he caught that 50 from Marbury

Anybody can get hit up.

I love youtube highlights

TBF webber was washed in philly, and iggy isn't an offensive player anyway...

Had iverson went to the spurs, he absolutely would've been a tier 1 PG and they woulda won ships as well. He would be a better version of parker in all aspects, who could carry the offense while duncan manned defensively

Kobe's FG% has always been forgiven by people who say he has awful shot selection. Curry actually has very similar shot selection and it is almost never criticized because his crazy shots are actually efficient. That says it all right there.
