The league was already going towards 3pt lead offenses since 04-05. Steph didn't revolutionize that.
Big reason Steph jumped was the addition of Iguodala and Kerr's arrival. GS offense is pretty much D'Antonis offense without a dominant lead ball handler. Steph and Klay were good but not monsters until Year 1 with Kerr and Steph was already in the league for a couple of years by then. He was likely an All Star but not a defense breaking MVP player. That offense helped him a ton.
