Did you watch the game? Because it sounds like you didn't. You just made up a narrative about his performance.

When Steph exited the game in the 1st quarter, the Warriors only had 1 assist as a team. That assist was Steph's. They only had 3 assists, in total, in the 1st quarter, going down 15-37. They weren't hitting their shots because they got completely overwhelmed on both sides of the floor.

Why the fukk would he focus on passing when they were down by 20, 30, 40+ points?

More to the point - the Warriors pass the ball until they create the best shot, it's not just one person passing and then someone shooting. That's not how their offense works.

All this here.

People have to realize that all HOF had 0-7 nights, at some point.

That's just a part of the game. You're gonna have those kinda nights. That's not an indictment on a player of Steph's caliber. GS has issues to work out, but Steph can't be the savior every single night out there for them. There are players on that team that drive me crazy with their body language and lack of energy every single game (Wiggins).

One thing I can say about Steph is, I never watched a game and thought he wasn't giving it everything he had. There are gonna be off nights. Anybody that's ever played competitive organized ball knows that. You learn and pick it up next game you're on the floor. But this game was a bad outing collectively. This wasn't on one dude.

I agree that everyone has bad nights and few bad games here and there in an 82 game season but this isnt just one game, its now somewhat of a consistent pattern of curry under performing and shooting the ball inefficiently , when the opposite was a hallmark of his prime years, there is a clear regression atleast base on the play thus far this regular season. He has at least 3 other team mates and starters averaging over 15ppg a game so there is plenty of help, this isnt a lackluster team with low tier league players.

This is the thing.

If you look up and down that roster, where is their instant offense gonna come from? Past couple weeks, I've seen GP2 miss open looks with no one even remotely close to him, that could've either saved the game or lifted them for a run. They have bums, if we're being honest. He needs the help. Dude is gonna be 40 in a few years. He can't possibly sustain the kinda numbers he had when he was putting up like 30+ a game. But he's still floating around where he was right before the dynasty run started.

So it's not like he's washed now. He clearly needs more help that's just not showing up for him and the team.

Piss poor coaching and piss poor roster building.

Pay Draymond $25 million so you can’t afford to pay anyone else :banderas:

Keep Draymond instead of a young scoring guard even though Draymond killed a dynasty by himself :banderas:
Draymond would've been on the 1st plane to the Detroit Pistons if I were the GM

There has to be consistency on the standards we apply and use to judge all time great players like curry, lebron and KD, there has to be some sort of objective metrics and lines. The vast majority of commentary on here over the past month or two, has been in agreement that lebron is washed and no longer a starting caliber player and lebron is averaging 22ppg,8rebounds and 9 assists a game a few days shy of forty years old having played the most minutes in league history, yet the criticism and scrutiny on his play is immense, curry arguably has worse statistics than that, his team has a lower seeding and has been inefficient shooting the basketball this season but yet the level of scrutiny and critic is far lacking as well. Folks on here believe curry is the best point guard in league history that alone should warrant a heightened scrutiny and level of critic on his plays especially when he we have seen other all time great players in the same age range play high quality basketball

Warriors definitely need another guaranteed 20ppg scorer next to Steph. Tryna keep Draymond because of some "heartbeat" or "glue guy" bullshyt for 25 mil a yr was crazy. No other player on their team, other than Steph scares me offensively, so when he struggles, you can almost count that as a loss

What does this even mean? He still had only one assist. My "narrative" isn't false.
you saying he did a good job creating opportunities for his teammates?
people try to rank this guy above Magic, but a good point guard should be able to affect the offense even when his shot isn't falling.
You claiming he is essentially a system player isn't a good excuse for those type of numbers,

:unimpressed:

31 points tonight.

What narrative you gonna run this time?

curry has almost as many single digit games the past 12 month( 5)than lebron has had in his entire career(5. all but one of which were his first year or so)

Minny blew that game/decided to play too late, but Steph was back with the watch the shot go in, shimmy and dancing after a make like his usual frontrunner self tonight, shot about 20 shots with 15 of them being 3's too :dead:
