the stealth destroyer is more then a ship its a symbol. this lets china know how far behind this country in technology they are, they dont even have a aircraft carrier

there are ways to get around stealth technology though. i remember during the fighting in serbia, the russians had taught them during the cold war alternate ways of dealing with stealth aircraft. and it just so happens that they did shoot down an f-117, one of america's first stealth aircraft. so symbols can sometimes be destroyed. it's not good to over invest in them. it's like people think technology is better than good logic and problem solving. technology doesn't have to only mean some new gadget, technology also applies to techniques and ways of handling situations....

i personally believe that the worst case scenario is the majority of American troops being deployed abroad, then U.N. and Nato troops being brought in to crush the American population after the internet is turned off.

During WW2 the Nazis built probably the best tank in the world. The problem was, the U.S.A. could build many tanks faster and cheaper, same with the Russians T-34 tank. I would think we should concentrate on building more ships for our navy, but find ways to cut the cost and some better technology. 3 Billion...soon we would have a smaller number of ships because they could not be maintained because of the high cost. We need more presence in different parts of the world. How would a more expensive ships cover all the trouble spots. Build 'em fast, and good...not fewer and more expensive. Who is going to lend us the money...China!
