Are you following at all? :gucci:

While Biden was "actual president", he signed a massive $1.9 billion covid package that gave out $1400 stimulus per person and extended unemployment extras until September. Without Republican support.

The point of this thread is that Republican states are refusing to accept that extra federal unemployment money. You do realize that since states run unemployment, there's nothing Biden can do about that, right? The Republicans are literally refusing to give out the money that Biden already signed off on.
This is just like the ACA where there were states that didn't want to accept the subsidies...for whatever reason :unimpressed:

Both sides

Or mofos could just get a JOB. I've never in my life seen so many now hiring signs for all jobs not just minimum wage jobs.

Alot of people was milking that extra 300 making more than they did when they was working. HYON.

:yeshrug:

full employment according to the federal reserve is a 4% unemployment rate

the current unemployment rate in the us is 6.1%

the idea that there are people opting for unemployment instead of working is a Republican culture war talking point not far removed from “welfare queens”

The truth is while the service industry was laying off during the pandemic other industries were hiring

The biggest achievement of the Republican party was convincing poor white people that corporations have their best interests in the real enemy is poor people of other race.

Corporations don't have your best interest at heart regardless of which party is in office. You're naive if you believe otherwise.

Democratic business owners want employees back in the workforce just as well. I don't get this fascination with The Coli believing that only Republicans own businesses and/or corporations.

When did I say any of that? I was speaking specifically to the Republican party most of whose states are ending the benefits early.

Democratic states are bringing back unemployment requirements so they’re essentially doing the same thing. That’s essentially asking those same employers and corporations to snitch and get those employees off the $300.

So what’s the difference if the outcome will still be same?

Then that means that employees aren't in those sectors of the workforce. So what's the difference?

The Chamber of Commerce in cities who are comprised of both Democrat and Republican business owners want those workers back in the workforce. I know that because I've seen the emails essentially asking business owners to snitch on employees and get them off unemployment and back working. The move benefits business owners and cities of both parties and I don't get why The Coli is pretending that it doesn't.
