The cops are at fault for his death but this guy has been arrested 31 times since 1988. By now, he should know better than to resist arrest with the cops. You don't resist arrest since it will never go your way. You go peacefully and request a lawyer. You're not arguing with your momma; you're arguing with cops who carry guns, batons, tazers, etc.

Garner has been arrested 31 times since 1988 on charges such as drug possession, selling untaxed cigarettes and assault, police said. He was last arrested in May for selling untaxed cigarettes, court records show. Since 2009, he was arrested nine different times for selling such cigarettes, police said.

NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo, caught on another video putting Garner in a chokehold, is shown standing a few feet away and chatting amiably with a uniformed colleague.

Near the end of the clip, he gives a satiric wave to the person shooting the second video.

Pantaleo, an eight-year veteran, was placed on modified duty Saturday as cops and the Staten Island district attorney investigated the case.

Pantaleo was stripped of his gun and his shield and assigned to work desk duty. The police union immediately denounced the move as “knee-jerk” and “completely unwarranted.”

It took me a while to watch this vid, but I searched online for it just to draw my own opinion about it....

This video looks no different than those wildlife films where a pack of wild animals have cornered and attacked their prey! To know that this man may have saved the lives of two other people (since he was breaking up a fight) and the cops came and took HIS life is just sickening! As a Black woman, I know what OUR men are up against in this WORLD and there are posters in this thread defending the cops' behavior. I don't believe we're watching the same vid bc I just saw a pack of wild animals circle around their defenseless prey and wiped him out on PURPOSE! They intentionally cut off his oxygen...in front of his brother and other witnesses! This is sick and so fukkin cruel.
