1) Barkley and Kerr made a great point. They have all the tools to dominate in a half court game with Kobe and Dwight alone, not including whenever Gasol and Nash come back. They need to slow it down, because in the run and gun they don't have good enough ball management, and they get exposed on defense when they miss.
2) The pick and roll D is horrible, they need to work on it. Dwight is coming out on the pick and roll switch, which exposes the paint, and the rest of the players are horrible on D, they need to do a switch with either the SF/PF, or trap with 2 guards on a pick and roll, have the SF come over, and Dwight go to the weak side of the lane. This way if and when penetration comes Dwight is there.
3) They have to feed Dwight. Shame on Kobe, that's f*ckin' ridiculous. I don't think he passed the ball to Dwight the last 5 minutes, D'Antoni needs to reign him in. The need to turn Dwight into a passing big man. He needs to get down low, and start banging, he will either score or get doubled, in which case he can kick to a cutter, or pass out of the double team to get the hockey assist to an open shooter.
4) I would seriously get rid of Duhon, dude is basura. I would strongly consider signing Delonte. The heavy minutes should go to Meeks until Nash is healthy.
5) There are no offensive sets. I don't see how D'Antoni is such a great offensive mind The offense is basically pass it to Kobe and let him figure it out. I assume this will change when Nash returns, but D'Antoni better get on his job.
In short, watching them today, this team in spurts is not that bad. Magic was right, they need to change their style of play. If they can do that, and find a way on D to funnel the cutters and the pick and roll to Dwight, this is going to look like another team. Personally, right now, I'm thinking D'Antoni just isn't that good of a coach, they might have been better off with Bickerstaff
