Yea, it's for the best, I would've been ok with them ending it after Gods of the Arena personally.
they never find Sparticus's body in real life. although most likely he did die in their last stand. i can totally see starz giving audiences that "open ending" feel where sparticus could have survived and just moved on wit his life instead of some heroic death. bc technically they never discover his body....

All of Spartacus lieutenants die. That's Crixus, Gannicus
, Big O already dead If they introduce Castus, another friend that Spartacus makes during the slave rebellion, he gon' die too. The slave rebellion was crushed by Crassus when Spartacus launched all the strength of his army against him.
In the end, nikkas stayed slaves and as for Spartacus, his fate is up in the air. All those that were captured (5,000) were cut down by Pompey (who got the credit for ending the rebellion) and the ones caught by Crassus (6,000) were crucified.
All the rebellion did was probably make the Roman's a little nicer to slaves for the aftermath.

I know Rome wasn't going to fall but, it would've been cool if all the slaves marched on Rome......Hunger Games style (unrealistic, i know ). I guess they're never really going to show the city in the series. Major daps for explaining though.
