Not a huge fan of S2. Too much cringe cac humour.
I know everybody says it sets the stage for the rest of the series but it starts off a bit too slow after the intensity of S1, which I think pulls it down in the ratings. Its good but not greg when in comparison S4 then S3 were some of the greatest seasons of TV

Ill keep it 100% anyone that really has a PROBLEM with season 2, has an underlying racism issue. Season 2 is easily the best TV DETECTIVE work your ever going to see out of any tv show. Yes they focused on the ports with frank, the greeks and ziggy, but they also showed how great bunk, freemon, and gregs were as police officers. Mcnulty obviously shined as well. Season 2 was essential and GREAT...who cares if they stopped showing the hood 24/7, they still gave it shine AND it was all for the BIGGER PICTURE because they went RIGHT BACK to the hood season 3 on top of not cutting the greeks out

Season 2 was great. It showed you that even though Avon was a top dog, he wasn't the top dog. Neither was Marlo or the Co-Op. it's always some low key ass motherfukkers in plain sight. All that flash and murder, the need to be king, all that is bullshyt. The real king is an old fukk in a run down greasy spoon. Bought for 1, sold for 2. Little drama and quick to dip when shyt hits the fan.

Yup, i guess cause my ethnicity i never got the hate for season 2. All people do to discredit it (on this bored atleast) is say there is too many white people lol....that court room scene from Omar alone puts it above 5 for me. I love season 2. It may also be because it’s completely different from season one and cats aint like it cause that drastic turn it took from the towers in season 1.

on first watch. Going from a classic first season to the docks was a huge change that I didn't want at the time. When I rewatched Season 2 it was

i thought season 2 was alright the first time i watched it. I think the biggest reason i didn't feel it was because i wasn't expecting a whole new set of main characters.
