Started doing EC stack

I know the recommended dosage is 3x a day 3x8mg but I felt that's too much.

I took 1 a few days ago, it made me jittery and I noticed my heart rate was up.

Today after workout I took 2 and drank a cup of coffee. I feel high-ish .. Feels like I'm coming down from a marijuana high.

I'm gonna stick to once a day 2x8 mg pill and one cup of coffee for the rest of the week to see if I notice improvement or negative side effects.

If you get anxiety cut that dose down, my last run had me feeling some type of way. I retired that.

EC stack should be a 10:1 Caffeine to Ephedrine ratio. Standard dose is 200mg caffeine to 20 mg ephedrine once every 4 hours, 3 times per day. Most people use either Bronkaid or Primatene to get their ephedrine so the dose wont be exactly 20 mg but it will be close enough.

I don't know what you are doing but I would suggest you stop now and do some research. Why would you take multiple doses after a workout and then combine it with even more caffeine from coffee? :mindblown:. This is the type of shyt that got the EC stack to be made illegal


And of course your heart rate went up, that is the point.

Week 1 - Day 1 - take a test dose, 8mg ephedrine + a small coffee or caffeine pill. You should not have any adverse symptoms.

Well, ignoring the anecdotal evidence would already be a big mistake since there is so much of it. But to answer your question....yes, to a degree

As far as I have seen, the only properly carried out studies have been on obese women (double blind, calorie controlled, with groups of placebo, ephedrine only, caffeine only, and EC combined).

Only the EC combination induced additional weight loss, although it was clear from the study that the weight loss difference was negligible. The true benefit came from the preservation of lean body mass during weight loss and the focus on pure fat loss.

If you want anecdotal evidence to pile on top of that, it is everywhere and I can say for sure it worked for me in jump starting my fat burning after I hit a plateau last year.

From a plateau stand point what had you done previously to break that and when you started EC was that the only new factor?

Read the first sentence of your link:

The optimal dosage was determined clinically to be 20mg of ephedrine, and 200 mg of caffeine, taken 3 times daily

The dosage schedule that follows it does not make an ounce of sense other than to access tolerance. That assessment can be accomplished on day 1, no need to spend weeks assessing tolerance.

I jumped right into 20/200 3 times per day the first cycle I went on and showed no adverse affects other than 1 day of high heart rate and appetite suppression

I had gotten down to 1800 calories per day, I think even 1600 for a week or two. I was working out 5 days per week. I was stuck at around 12% bodyfat and hadn't lost a pound in weeks despite the restriction.

When I started the EC I stuck to 1800 calories for a week or so then actually bump UP to over 2000 just to make sure I had room to reduced again in the future if need be. I noticed significant fat loss (dipping under 10%) very quickly, like within 2 weeks.

So there was one extra factor, and that was the increase in calories which actually could have helped in the fat loss simple because my body was resetting back to an 'equilibrium'

I also did a lot of cardio while on the stack while wearing a heart rate monitor and found the EC stack to be beneficial to my cardio. When doing low intensity, I was able to get my heart rate into the fat burning zone with less effort which saved my legs after weight training. When doing medium or high intensity I actually felt the EC stack made my heart rate too high, but because I was wearing the monitor I was able to control it and not over exert myself to the point of danger

Also, when I was doing simple activities like playing disc golf, take the EC stack kept my heart rate in the fat burning zone throughout my round which made a fun round of disc golf a cardio activity

i don't like to jump into things right away. I felt weird just by 2x8mg pills. So it's a better idea for me to see how i feel rather than go in blind. People have different reactions. I researched the topic as much as i could before making the decision of purchasing it.

I feel better today than yesterday. The reason I took it AFTER workout is cause i like to do HIIT, which is obviously not recommended while on EC. I haven't noticed a significant appetite suppression. I still feel hungry from time to time. But I am eating less cause of my calorie deficit.

Are you at 10% now? I can't remeber is you are still trying to lose or build muscle.

I actually did HIIT multiple times while on the stack, using a heart rate monitor. That was key. I loved it because I was able to do real HIIT, not the fake HIIT a lot of people do. My heart rate was getting into the high 190's or low 200's during the sprints and dropping into the 160-170 range during the slow periods. However, I was in pretty great cardiovascular shape at the time so I was probably able to handle it a little better than most without feeling like dying. I felt godly after some of those workouts.

the way i do HIIT is 45sec-1 min of sprinting at 10 speed on treadmill followed by 2-3 mins of walking/light joking at 3-4 speed. I do this for 15 mins twice. I need to invest in a heart rate monitor as well.
