I posted about this like a month ago, but I prefer Peet's Coffee over Starbucks. It's nowhere near as busy, and the coffee is fresh all day.

starbucks is overroasted garbage.......if you have a local roaster go there and get a bag of freshly roasted whole bean (I find coffee usually degrades within 2 weeks of roasting)....shyt you get in grocery store could be sitting on the shelves....legit places have 'roasted on' dates, sbux has best by dates

best coffees imo come out of africa....rwanda, burundi, Ethiopia (birthplace of coffee) and Kenyan (my favorite)

The coffee really is bad. Their specialty drinks and espresso drinks is the only thing worth getting.


If you ever made coffee with hot water compared to cold water, you'll notice that it has a burnt taste when using hot water. That is probably the problem with their coffee.
