How would force healing save padme from being bisected or decapitated or obliterated into a million pieces? Isnt the fact that he saw her death as inevitable enough to assume he thought force healing wasnt enough? Meanwhile palpatine survives being blown up on the deatg star. This is up there with the infinity gauntlet life meme. This is how you know people dont have free will 2 seconds of thought ruins the whole joke.Sheep

These Disney adaptations really did feel like wrestling in so many ways no continuation from the past storylines and everyone keeps kicking out from each others finishing holds...How many times you see Kylo and Ren having a hell in the cell match in this shyt, how many times did Kylo fall thru the mat only to return....

Palps got powerbombed by Vader down the shaft and then the death star blew up and somehow he kicks out of it,much like wrestling these movies were better back in the day...

Havent seen the movie yet but ive been reading a lot of thought pieces on the web and reddit (of all places) about how the trilogy closes without any meaningful development done with Finn. This piece Where is Finn?: The Erasure and Sidelining of a Star Wars Protagonist and these reddit posts:

...>Really paint picture of how the Finn character was a half assed effort that Disney used for token-ism and to outright LIE to audiences about the direction of the franchise (ALL OF TFA promotional material featured Boyega holding a lightsaber!).

Whether it be because of executive decree, bowing to Chinese Market tastes or incongruent directorial visions, its no excuse for how squandered and mistreated Finns character was. Im genuinely disappointed and angry and refuse to see the movie by spending any hard earned money.
