well, i was one of the idiots who completely went on a media blackout before rogue 1.
so i knew nothing before i entered the cinema.
hell, i only realized this would have no trilogy by the way the movie ended.
i remember going as everything was hitting the fan.
i went like there will be no sequel to this,will there?
it was one of the best movie-going experiences of my life.

i'll do the same for this.
well, i mean after leaving this thread i will try and limit the info i get on this movie.

Eh. Might be ok but there's really not that much we don't know about Obi-Wan.

I'd have preferred something like a Yoda Film that takes place hundreds of years before the main story when Yoda was young. Or maybe a Plagueis/Sidious prequel that takes place before Episode 1 that shows how Darth Plagueis met and trained a young Palpatine, and how Palpatine eventually killed him.

Obi-GOAT is my favorite SW character, so I'm def hyped for this.

That being said, I do think it's about time they start branching out into uncharted territory.

The same old Empire vs Rebels shyt is kinda dead.

why do we need obi wan?

we already seen a old ass obi wan, a middle age obi wan a young obi wan in star wars film and the in between obi wan in the clone wars series.

I remember when we first heard they were making stand alone side story movies thinking they were going to branch off into new territory...

I'm only interested in this movie if it takes place right after episode 3 during the order 66 Jedi purge. Seeing how the Empire used propaganda to turn the galaxy against the Jedi, how the Jedi fought back because I'm sure not all of them were willing to run and hide.

Maybe even have scenes similar to Nazi Germany with stormtroopers going to Jedi suspected sympathizers or people hiding Jedi and killing them.

Jedi fighting in a guerilla style warfare against the Empire and maybe obi-wan leading a group or at least taking refuge with one. Sparking the origins of the Rebelion and the will to fight back.

Would also make sense if the original rebellion were Jedi and the Rebel Alliance symbol is some kind of Jedi crest. Would also explain why later on people on the Rebel Alliance would always say "May the force be with you." Even though all the Jedi are gone.
