Finn is a character, not representative of black people as a whole. Finn as a character would've been the same regardless of the race of the actor that played him. Abrams said that he deliberately left out a ton of information about Finn's background so that it could be covered in episodes VIII and IX. I'm sorry Finn isn't a Jedi Knight uber macho badass like you wanted. John Boyega, regardless of your opinions about Finn is still the male lead of one of the biggest movie franchises ever created.

no way this is real.

I thought TFA was basically a soft retelling of ANH, following many of the same beats. But there's no way a different director/writer comes in and simply re-does Empire while adding one of the dumbest twists I've ever heard. JJ Abrams has always been a glorified Steven Spielberg/George Lucas cover band but the guy who is doing the next film seems rather original to me.

It's funny. Me and my brothers didn't really fukk with TFA but my parents LOVED it. I went with my dad and dude was acting like a little kid lmao, he was allll in. My mom saw it a week after I did and loved it too. Dunno I guess the film re-captured the magic for them and many older people. But for my late 20s ass I thought it was just a big pandering film. Like "hey remember this? How about more of this!" Nah I'm good. It's not terrible or bad, it was just forgettable.

I love Kylo Ren tho. One of the best "villains" I've seen in a long time. I hope he has a major role in the next film. Kinda hoping that by the end Kylo is the good guy and Rey turns to the dark side....

The movie was good. Stop it. If the fights had been better it would have been great.

And I don't want to see any redemption to Kylo. Dude killed his dad... Han fukking Solo. There should be no saving him or heroic sacrifice like Vader did. And, yes, I know Vader killed all those kids but that was all shoehorned in 20 years after the fact.

I agree that Kylo is a great though. People basically wanted him to be like Vader from the jump, but he's an insecure little brat trying to act tougher and better than he actually is and that's what makes him so compelling. I imagine Kylo vs Rey in a battle to the death is where this trilogy is heading.

TFA was borderline trash and the reviews made it seem like it was Pulp Fiction levels of goatness. It's a sham.
