I'm no huge Star Wars fanboy or even that knowledgeable about the series but if this is true wouldn't that kinda undermine the whole OG trilogy as a major part of Episode 2&3 was the tension of Vader trying lure Luke to the dark side. Luke resists this and in the end actually has a cathartic moment with his dying father. Seems stupid after all that to then have him go to the dark side any way.

I don't believe it. I do believe that there are studio plants who are flooding the bloggers and message boards with fake spoilers to generate controversy which= free publicity for the movie.
