They may genuinely be trying to relate and bring in some black viewership. But this character could easily be ripped right from Insecure/Atlanta. Or when shes upset she could easily be pulled outta Snowfall. If she was a better actor w better dialogue it might be noticeable but people could still like the character. If you took Manboys character out or Snowfall and put him in Star Wars I would watch. Regardless of how well others recieved it

But like I said,she may be better in the next episodes and catch a rhythm.
