Star Wars about to break Avatar's record but is it deserving?

I seriously doubt people went to see this multiple times because it was that good. It was more hype than anything. It's going to break the all time domestic box office in less than A MONTH for crying out loud. Titanic and Avatar took months to reach 600 mil. I'm not hating, I saw it twice, but I think people went back based on speculation. The ironic thing is I doubt I will continue to numbers like Avatar and Titanic did which went into spring.

Can't call a movie over hyped if it was doing numbers for months after it initially came out. Titanic was a love story so women kept going back Avatar had a generic story that took place using revolutionary technology. I think Gone with the Wind is overrated but it's considered a classic and still #1 when adjusted for inflation. I just didn't think Star Wars was as good as people say. I think the sequels should be better so long as they don't use the same throw back paying homage to the first trilogy vibe.

It had it's moments but it wasn't that great. But maybe I went because I wanted to see Snoke and the Knights of Ren but only got a little bit of Snoke and the same short clip of the Knights of Ren I got in the trailer So no... movie didn't do it for me. I also went to see Luke fukk shyt up but an hour in I realized he wasn't going to really be in it. He was reduced to an after credit scene moment

People underestimate the power of Star Wars fans. Those diehards live for this shyt and have been waiting a decade for some more movies, I don't think 8 and 9 will surpass or equal the box office of 7.

So let me get this straight...you saw it twice but you doubt people went to see it multiple times because they enjoyed it?

Okay anyway, I think it's presumptuous to speak on why other people saw it multiple times. Who are we to say what some other person is thinking or their reasoning unless we actually speak to every single person on the planet who's seeing the movie and idk about you but that doesn't sound like something I'd want to do. But it's a better flick than Avatar so from that standpoint alone, it's hard for me to argue with it getting the top spot. Also, when it comes to what people spend their money on, I don't think there's such a thing as "deserves." People are going to spend their money on what they spend their money on. There's a contingent of cats who feel like Jurassic World didn't deserve what it did this summer but if the shyt made people happy and feel like they got their moneys worth:whoknows:

I didn't think Avatar was that good at all but I'm not going to argue with the success it had. It is what it is...or it was what it was now that Star Wars will hold the crown

Basically. Awesome spectacle but once you get passed the hook, it's dances with wolves/Pocahontas and I've seen those and they were much better
