Basically, and Jacen and Jaina are some of the most powerful force uses in the galaxy along with their younger brother, Anakin Solo. Long story short he grows up is strong as eff has a secret baby with Tenel Ka, a princess from some planet i cant remember...and eventually during a war against a uber-Army called the Yuhzaan Vong he basically turns the force's equivalent of Super Sayan and acieves "oneness"...BUT
later in life he becomes Darth Caedeus after being turned by a Sith who convinced him he was strong enough to turn and not be "evil". He also felt that HE was the true heir to the Anakin Skywalker legacy and was the next chosen one, he eventually kills Mara Jade, Luke's wife and ends up getting that WORK put on him by his twin sister.
the Solo twins have enough stories for MULTIPLE films...i think they should find some young actors sign them for 3 films and go in...it would have more cohesion to the main story and it would have people connect to the Solo/Skywalker name and it would be some REALLY great battles. Culmination with 3 or 4 lightsaber duels for the ages...2 including females which we have never seen in the main branch of the story.
Dude doesn't want to be in it because he gets no money. Part of his first divorce was giving his ex-wife ALL of his star Wars royalties and money. That's why dude still had the drive to make other movies.fukk him then.

Steven Spielberg will NEVER direct a Star Wars movie. He's already said he's begged George multiple times and Lucas won't allow it.
Harrison Ford has said he's "open" to returning as Han Solo, I'm guessing the script would have to be phenomenal, but again, they JUST hired the screenwriters for 7-8, so no script details would be available. So even though Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are open to reprising their roles, NOBODY knows ANYTHING yet
