He isn’t listening and analyzing albums every week..but he damn sure stays in tune with the overall landscape

that's why i think anybody who is against him being on this show discussing today's climate is silly. he does his homework and speaks about it objectively while clearly noting he's not a fan.

he loves the drama and interesting storylines. he's always been like that, even with the lower-level rappers or whatever. if it's a good story, he informs himself about it. he's not a passionate music fan like joe budden.

That was my point though, XXL clearly getting paid to put on One-Hit Wonders on their list now. That 2008-2011 list has people that are still popping or atleast have an established fanbase. Since then...

Mix a few extremely popular with something no one is talking about. No one is going to be alienated if that happens.
