yeah star aint keeping it hip hop at all....that was what gave the show its ever reaching appeal, cause it was fukkery plus hip hop, curated from A. a sensible hood nikka and B. a corn ball that can appeal to cacs

now you got a dusty nikka that has openly said he basically dont give a fukk about the culture now, and you have Ak having to go into over drive trying to talk over Star to convince him that his insight is dated. He can be honest, but if he's being honest about something he doesnt know about, whats the point?

I hope they keep star cause he funny as hell, but they might need to add in another nikka as an actual coolhead and middle ground between these two. cause nadeska is fukking worthless

Replace her with Rapsody or another female rapper.

Youtube comment that best sums up this 2nd episode:

*bell and clap sound bite*

:russ:

He was admittedly letting shyt slide and these nikkas took every opportunity. Completely conceding the floor, almost like he wanted them to wallow in their mediocrity. Even tried to bait him into listing top albums to use against him. Hilarious when he tried to give Nadeskas the floor after she flexed on him, and she fell back.

Show wasn't bad. It just wasn't interesting. Star offers so much more if Complex can get off these elementary topics like breh said earlier. That and the censoring just makes me want to tune into his radio show instead, whenever that comes back.

Btw, what is Nadeskas history? What makes her qualified to moderate informed discussions regarding hip hop? She comes off like a Complex intern who had this good idea and, because she was the only black face in the office, got the position. Even if she does have a history in the industry, she never divulges her experience, never expounds on a perspective through her industry "expertise." In short, wtf does she do? Never seen someone in this format so seemingly replaceable.

Doubt he'll be as tame tomorrow. His closing quote said as much...

Here you go if you want to watch an hour long interview of Nadeska, seems okay to me

:manny:

She seems to know more about a certain type of hiphop as much as anybody else knows about their certain type of hiphop they like. She's not going to ever take a stance against an artist though,I've only seen her go hard against R Kelly. What woman do you guys want to see give opinions?most women have horrible taste in hiphop, let along being able to argue their points without being emotional. She should give her opinion on some things but not much.

and never forget Star said Eminem is the goat, fukk him and Eminem.

I dont even think it needs to be a rapper per se, although that'd be nice. Im sure there's some female talking heads out there somewhere that look decent and know some hip hop. or at least know the grimy twitter beef. just a lil less feminastic, you feel?

Its the topics that ruin this show.
The producers are very unimaginative.

They dont always gotta cater the topics towards Akademiks. Same issue they had with Joe, make the theme a little more mature and broad.
facts, you aint gonna find too many nikkas like Joe that can give an old nikka perspective young nikka material

Star is a dusty nikka that does his best when he give a mature insight, force Ak out of his comfort zone sometimes and make him speak about some oldies.

also dont think this show should be every day either

Star has many sides. Besides the fukkery he is well informed. At first I thought he was neutered in the second episode but I guess he will tone it down. Though I'm looking forward to when he states his opinion aggressively because he talks that shyt.

You dont become the only DJ to top Howard Stern in history as a hip-hop know-it-all.

Star talks general topics. Hip-hop is the only culture that cares about all that and thats why very few can cross over.

I don't give a damn about Howard Stern either.

Maybe Star can go be his sidekick since Howard loves a nice c00n on his side:mjlol:

Just get this clown out of hiphop like the vulture that he is,let him go get money in the culture that he does care about:mjpls:.
