Why is star doing this show

I think Star is being calculated. He's been doing shot97 for years now and has struggled to reach the younger audience. I'm not sure if he still plans on buying that radio station but this will def allow him to grow his fanbase. Plus I'm sure they're paying him handsomely (obviously not what Joe was asking but I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting $200k+)

Haven't watched the show yet, but idk how I feel about this. Love Star, but he's stated before that he doesn't even care about hip hop like that (rock and roll was his first love). He'll be great for the laughs and trolling, but Joe's hip hop expertise is also needed badly.

i'll put coli cash up that star knows more about current popular hip-hop music than joe on his best day. joe's expertise was derived from his own experiences. joe's chemistry with ak worked cause he was the grumpy old man hating on all the new nikkas ak rode for, and the fact he didn't always listen before hating made it even funnier. but if you watched everyday struggle it should be obvious joe wasnt a fan of doing much research.

star's experience is media-based. i dont think people really understand he's been doing this shyt since the early 90's. the platform is different, but he knows this game inside and out.

whether he can keep up with today's fans remains to be seen.
