too late bruh

you been exposed. Take the L and keep it moving.

Exposed how? The part I pressed play on today was terrible and I mentionded when Ak ass betted Star last week. I'm trying to give it a chance but what I'v seen aint been good. I dont care if it's a 2 minute segment that I saw today, that 2 minutes of them making horrible Grammy points was bad.:stopitslime:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
They obviously don't know Stars background. Whether or not he loves hip hop or not, he's done and seen more in the industry than the both of them combined.

They really need stop try to have those gotcha moments with Star because they end up being the ones caught out there.

Without Joe this show is becoming a numbers game with no critique of the actual music.

Star's similar to a young child that can "call out words" they see on paper but can't "read" for understanding of those word. He can go home, write note notes and call out some hip names, but he's not up on why they are poppin or how they came to be. He doesn't come off as an actual person and this feels like work to him.

He's studying hip-hip artist names versus staying attentive to the culture. He's not able to gauge what sounds or looks hot or not, but he looks up the stats.

Ak looks at the stats and thinks numbers equal "good" or "relevant." He's never gonna spotlight anything that isn't trending.

Ya'll know who needs to be on the show? Godfrey. I've been watching his vladtv interviews and I think I'm fukking with his interviews more than Lord Jamar. Idk what he knows about hiphop but damn he's got an extensive knowledge on film (he is an actor so it makes sense). Dude can articulate his points well and is genuinely funny.

The show will be just fine.

Akademiks and Joe had to go through a process themselves.

Akademiks and Star have to go through a similar process. Once Star starts gaining more knowledge on the newer artists, it will reach that point. He has to acclimatize; he wasn't expecting this job offer.
I'm a big fan of Star, but that nikka just doesn't belong on that show. I hear what you're saying but I don't think Star or anyone else will ever get used to this...

She’s young bro what you expect? Maybe she didn’t grow up in a household where they played that kinda music. My fam did, but I found that Bootsy song when I saw Baby boy and was :banderas: Been a favorite ever since

She's 31 and she supposed to be a music journalist. No excuses for that:martin:

his Guy Ritchie tryout was amazing and his rant about how only white people have diversity in entertainment and there's only one type of black person :wow:

It'll help if they let him cut loose and stop treating this like some PBS show

Star on this show is like the kid at school who gets an A on the math test because he knew the answers, but the teacher writes a little message on the back of the test that says "next time show your work, don't just write the answer" and on the next test he gets like a D-, lol.

Rote Memorization vs Comprehension, which is true intelligence? The fact that you can rattle off a few random facts isn't really intelligence if you're not able to break down why the random fact is a fact.

"Mercedes is a better car than Porsche" - Star

"What?? How?? - Nadeska

"I used to work for a car shop back in the 80s. It's all about the facts and figures after you crunch the numbers and adjust the margins of the vehicles" - Star

"No, how is it a better car tho?" - Akademiks

"What are you, fukkin stupid? I just explained it" - Star

"How? You didn't explain how at all" - Nadeska

"Listen, do you see more Mercedes on the road or more Porsches?" - Star

"Mercedes" - Nadeska

"Thank you" - Star (arrogant grin)

"What, that's not proving your point" - Akademiks

"Lets move on" - Star (arrogant grin)

This is basically every episode of the show that I've seen. Keep the topics broad and generic and let Star do his thing on them, he doesn't know the specifics on any of the shyt he says really, lol

That's not how I see it...

Star brings an objective opinion into the discussion and flat out says how he feels. Akademiks chimes in trying to be diplomatic... like he doesn't want to hurt potential future business/relations for his personal interest.... that's what makes the show so damn boring. Dude comes off like a groupie/dikkrider for everything and almost has no negative opinions on the artist.. If Star had someone interesting to discuss these topics with it'd be alot better than it is right now. When Star accused him of having his vision clouded by being a fan and working with artist he was right.
