Her mom is Mexican and Bajan and her father is AA. With that said, I'm pretty sure it was the police officer who labeled her as white. But I'm sure she feels pride in that.

:childplease: Who tf are you talking to? I don't speak unless i know what I'm talking about. You should try it. :unimpressed:

"Moore told the audience that the Northern Europeans, “inventors of Apartheid," have traditionally feared the black person, while Europeans from the Iberian Peninsula, as well as their descendants in Latin America, have no such fear. As he put it, "in the U.S. one drop of black blood makes someone black. In Latin America one drop of white blood makes you white.""

you are wrong with this assumption, racial dynamics in brazil, pr and dr does not respresent the whole of latin america.

I read the article, I lived in Latin America for several years and I studied Latin American history in college, but I'll let your ignorant ass cook :mjlol:
:what: Are you unable to have a conversation without insulting me? Real question.

To the point, in all those paragraphs you wrote, I didn't see any mention of the fact that a clearly black person can be classified as 'mulatto' due to class. This racial fluidity is indeed the opposite of the American version and, interestingly to me as a fellow historian, a straight line from the moors' activities in the Iberian peninsula. Why are you so invested in denying an obvious truth, Mr Latin American scholar? :jbhmm:
