I don't disagree there. I'm just saying that's part of why the franchise is what it is.
An example of a team that's hasnt rebuilt in a long time and won multiple times is the Spurs but they retool rather than rebuild. The Mavs dont really do much of either.

Hawks could be a team that takes on a bad contract or two to facilitate a major trade. Only thing is we'll need assets as we continue our rebuild, how many first rounders y'all willing to come off of?

1. Draft a big with the No. 5 pick
2. Give the 50m cap space to Dirk as a Thank You/Farewell gift
3. Pick somewhere in the 10-14 range in 2019 draft
