Monroe signing doesn't make a huge amount of sense to me
Val is not a very good defender and you just lost Poeltl and Bebe, you would think they would be more focused on getting a defender to back up the 5 spot

I guess it's insurance if one of Ibaka or JV is out and they need a big man that can score
He's the 4th big now...so I guess Boucher might be that 5th big if they convert his exhibit 10 to a two way
You could do much worse for a 4th big. If Casey was here though, he'd get big minutes

Yeah i don't hate Monroe as a bench guy, it's just a real weird fit with the current set of bigs.
Maybe this means we see him about 10 minutes a game and alot more of Ibaka with the second unit as the 5. Which is his best fit right now imo. I'm sure he'll still start but I'd rather see more minutes for Siakam with the starters
I think they figured were already a good defensive team we can absorb Monroe bytchass defense...I also think theyre gonna go small alot more this year with Kawhi at the 4 and Ibaka/Siakam at the 5....
