What does the package from Toronto look like for Kawhi? I feel like there’s no way the spurs want Derozan or Lowry back on those deals. Raptors just throwing all those bench cats and picks together? Those guys are assets but tbh there’s nobody there id take over Saric.

Maybe they could absorb Pau’s bad contract but they don’t have any short money to do that.

DD+OG for sure to start. They will ride out the rest of Lowry's contract I think.

Not online. Offline. I first heard about Bazemore for Gasol and a 1st and I was like, Gasol got two years and don't make any sense but why do the Spurs need Bazemore went they got Green. Then this started buzzing and I realized it not Baze to SA but to TOR.

Here's my thing about dumbass Toronto. How do you go and get a rental when damn near half the relevant teams gonna have room for a max and all of the teams Leonard wants to play for will. Are you that confident in Lowry, Miles, Poeltl, Val, Ibaka, VanFleet and friends?

I will be shocked if he stays in Toronto. They don't have a superstar. It's not they got a Westbrook. No one even knows if Leonard is healthy. Man, this is a massive risk.

From a spurs perspective they've lost all leverage and raptors can offer an all star and a good young player, no other team will offer anything better at this point. This deal enables them to have a shot at being a top 4 team in the West and not lose Pop to retirement for the foreseeable future.

For the raptors it's a big gamble that will get Masai Ujiri fired if Kawhi doesn't resign. They want to dismantle their core after years of playoff failures and have a shot at making noise in a weak eastern conference.
