lakers should be giving mediocre offers

i wouldnt part with any prime asset except ball.

they got lebron locked in for potentially 4 years, so this year is not win now. i would offer a take it or leave it deal now and at the trade deadline. take it or lose him for nothing. because they can just sign him outright next off season. dont make the knicks mistake they made when they gutted they assets to bring in melo. should have just waited til that off season, had melo with chandler mozgov etc and been a much better east threat to miami. i do everything i can to keep ingram and kuzma with lebron.

It’s not about how many years he’s locked in it’s about how many prime years Lebron has left. I know he seems like a machine but eventually all those minutes are gonna catch up to him

He’s at the point of his career where u can’t just throw away a year of not contending you have to trade for Kawhi this year to maximize Lebrons years there which is why the Spurs still have leverage

At this point in the game Lebron will never outdo Jordan for the simple fact Jordan did it with one team (That Wiz shyt don't count in this argument). His best bet it set a new standard statistically for other players to follow cuz a ring argument won't mean shyt

Add that Jordan could have easily won 8+ rings - if didn't retire or if he ring chased

the ether
These questions are meaningless.

What if LeBron has the GOAT season of all time, but all of his main teammates are injured, he still takes the Warriors to 7 in the WCF averaging 45-12-12 on 60% shooting but loses in the end when one of this teammates runs the wrong way at the last second and scores on the other basket?

What if LeBron has a totally mediocre season, but the Lakers sign Kawhi, multiple young guys make the leap, Curry and Durant both get hurt, and LeBron doesn't even win Finals MVP as the Lakers win the title?

Context is going to matter a lot. You can't just ring-count.

And the "one team" stuff is bullshyt. LeBron was drafted to the freaking Cavs, look at the lineup they had placed around him after 7 years, no player in NBA history could have done it with "one team" getting drafted to that organization.
