Why would Phoenix sign Trevor Ariza?

They have Jackson as a small Forward and they just drafted Mikhail Bridges (another small forward) out of Nova.

He wasn't very good where he played, to the point where him simply not being there would have made that team a lot better defensively.

At best he's good for some scoring outbursts here and there, but don't give him any minutes that should otherwise be given to McCaw and Evans
