Garbage. Glad I dumped Spotify
SPOTIFY REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANTS YOU TO LISTEN TO DRAKE’S NEW ALBUM
the streaming service has plastered Drake‘s face across their entire homepage and there’s been some pretty heavy backlash.
The streaming service has used Drake as the cover for multiple, if not all, playlists on their homepage. Some of which, Pitchfork reports, don’t even include Drake – like ‘Independent Ladies’ and ‘Best of British.’
Naturally, fans and Spotify users are wondering what the hell is going on.
In case you hadn’t already gotten the message loud and clear, Drake’s new album Scorpion is out now.
They payin the service to use algorithms to show them music that THEY want to listen to, not to be force fed if it was their favorite artist then that would make more sense wouldnt it?I personally don't have an issue with this. How you gonna get upset at Universal for dropping that bag to promote their artist and at Spotify for taking a check? I bet the same ppl that are complaining wouldn't have an issue if it was their favorite artist all on the front page.
Yeah on reddit they're starting a whole movement to get a free month by complaining.
They went beyond just that. They were putting his picture on playlists that didn't even have his music in it. One person said they had a classical music playlist that he was on the cover for. Also spotify should do a better job at targeting their audiences if they're going to try something like this. Dudes who only listen to heavy metal or some shyt shouldn't be subject to that. It sets a bad precedent. Are they going to do the same for Justin Beiber, Taylor Swift, etc?Why wouldn't they hyper market the biggest album of the year? Avengers movies get big ass posters in movie theaters too...
Not a fan of Drake but business is business right.
Of course they are if their record label is paying for itThey went beyond just that. They were putting his picture on playlists that didn't even have his music in it. is drake going through a pretending to be british phase that could explain thatbest of british
his point is that it wouldnt be a good thing if that happenedOf course they are if their record label is paying for it
