The only way it would make sense for her to go over is for her legacy but Bayley beat her to the punch as the first Grand Slam & Triple Crown Women's champ in the company. Literally no reason I can think of for her to win.

Why would Chuck want the NXT belt?
That should be seen as something that is beneath her because NXT is the D-League of WWE.
If anything Ripley should be thirstily challenging Chuck not the other way around.
The actual storyline motivation for this will hopefully make some kind of sense.

NXT is not the D league and you know it. Why wouldn’t any sane wrestler with a brain wouldn’t want to go there. Just like Finn, Charlotte has the big contract, she makes her guaranteed money with less travel and wear and tear. This a no brainer. Finn and these guys didn’t take a pay cut . Finn is married and just having fun now.

Charles is a tier 1 star on the main roster, but in NXT she's tier 2 at best. Also the NXT Women's title is taken more seriously than either women's title on the main roster.
