The "bu bu but colonialism, imperialism" comments the past few months from some quarters are deflections from the actual reality.

the foreigners come in and disrupt the haitian gov't and prevent it from operating as a government is supposed to, foreigners train the assassins (right here in the US in Florida) that go in and murder the haitian president in his home, foreigners ship in the high powered automatic weapons that the foreign backed haitian gangs use to terrorize the haitian populace, and the call to clean all this up is for "foreign intervention."

I hear you, but I don't know what you expect by asking the same entities that helped to fund and equip and then give free rein to this unchecked terror to come in and clean it up. It makes no sense whatsover from a Black standpoint.
At some point serious Black people are going to have to cut out the bullshyt and sit down amongst ourselves and figure this thing out. Or we'll continue to let white folks orchestrate turmoil in Black countries and communties, so we can ask them to come and step in and stop it. It's no different here, where white people shipped the industry out of Black communities, then shipped in the drugs and guns and sat back and watched as an extreme minority element within the community turns the community into a warzone.
Then we turn around and ask them to send in the National Guard until they can get a crime bill together that will allow them to militarize the entire Black community.

The same way you, Original Man, and others with ties to HBCUs keep it 100 about instances of poor leadership/admin., people from developing countries have to keep it 100 about instances of poor leadership in the nation's being discussed.
Leaders, even puppets, have leeway and control to try to improve conditions even incrementally. Instead, they don't even do that, stuff their pockets while there and cop pleas later about why they didn't do anything.
Can't blame the outsiders all the time. Situation is the culmination of decades of Haitian leadership who don't care whether their own people live or die, eat or starve.

A commercial aircraft getting shot at in the USA would be a much bigger news story. Not even the craziest criminals in the U.S are wild enough to bust their gun around an airport or at an airplane.
