My vote is going to the Big Guy Carl Winslow.

To be a hard working member of the Chicago Police force & put up with all that hell from that nikka next door who destroyed his property on the regular without killing him is the reason I say him. The fact that Steve never stopped trying to get with Laura after years of her saying no didnt stop him from fukking their house up. I'm sure any regular person would have shot Steve.

some slept on tv fathers

Michael Kyle from My Wife & Kids,he always taught his kids life lessons , didn't baby them. he also was a good inspiration cuz he started his own business from nothing

Floyd Henderson from Smart Guy, his wife passed away and he raised 3 kids by himself :mjcry: :wow:

Bernie Mac aka Uncle Bernie from Bernie Mac Show, he took in his sister kids and raised them like they were his :scust: at Vanessa for acting the way she acted towards him. you were living in the projects and now your rich, be happy:smh: he could've let yall go into foster care
Damn that was a good rundown.

just b/c he hasn't been mentioned, how about Jack Arnold from the Wonder Years?

He was an old school hard-ass who rarely laughed or put up w/ any bs. Sure he might not have had much personality or much to say, but he was closer to real life fathers of that era

but actually my personal vote goes tooooooooo..........

Earl Sinclair.

Put on his hardhat & took his lunchpail and went to work everyday. Had a terrible boss, wimpy son, naggy wife, an annoying baby and a mother-in-law living w/ him.

Al Bundy gets my vote.... despite the fact he was a walking L he was a man who went to work everyday and came home to his family everyday and put his family first even though they never deserved it. He always tried to be a good father to Bud, kick Kelly's boyfriends asses, and never cheated on Peg.

Honorable mention goes to Red Forman... that man had everyone shooked. you didn't have to be his kid but if he threatened to put his foot up your ass to act right you were :merchant: that's old school discipline

Let's be honest, Uncle Phil considered Will a burden, he considered all his kids burdens except maybe Ashley.

Will was a nephew , who was constantly Into shyt, nuthin major, but definetly stressed Uncle Phil.

Hillary was outrageous and flat out ridiculous , I'd hate to see her credit card bills that Phil had to pay for.

Carlton, model student, model son, but Phil despised how corny Carlton was, Carlton never had to go thru the struggles of growing up poor

c/s this 100%.

and i'll show love to Alan Matthews also, he was a real nicca. And Ray Campbell.

low key tho..the dad from the wonder years might have been the most accurate representation of how a dad really is. at least for middle class white people.

I see why you could say this, but I think it would be between him, Al Bundy, and Alan Matthews for this.
