I was fortunate to skip Attitude and get WrestleMania 2000 that Christmas year:blessed:

It was like wcw vs nwo revenge on steroids with a deeper roster, more costumization and excellent game controls.

If you had wrestling game back then that wasnt made by AKI & THQ, it was more than likely trash.

WCW Mayhem graphics was great but the controls we're so stupid n clunky and you had to do too much shyt to unlock the whole roster.

Then No mercy came out

Main reason why I got a n64. My friend had a n64 and would go to his house to play WCW/NWO Revenge and was jealous. When I found out the n64 was getting Wrestlemania 2000 I knew I had to get it! Amazing how those THQ/AKI games really captured the spirit of wrestling during that period in the late 90s.

Remember anticipating Attititude for so long. That and wrrstlemania x8 were probably my two biggest wrestling game disappointments .

Loved Wm2000 remember begging my cousin at Costco to get it for me
And to call my moms and ask if she will pay her back :lawd:

We actually traded in our N64 and all of our games to get the Gamecube and WrestleMania X8...that game was so disappointing :beli:

i miss THQ/AKI makin wrestling games
Not me, They became the Madden of wrestling where the only thing new was the roster. SVR 08 & WWE 12 are 2 of the biggest abominations I've ever played. As for the op I have no idea why they thought button combinations were a good idea for a wrestling game.

AKI stopped at No Mercy. Those other games were by Yukes.

I loved playing WORLD TOUR on the N64. It had so many characters and arenas.
Revenge was awesome but it felt a little bit Odd. I hated the fact that if you drop your weapon, it would disappear.
WrestleMania 2000 was a blessing indeed. I thought the game was very hard.
WWF No mercy was insane but i was pissed off at the famous glitch where all of your data would disappear. They issued a revised edition but i was unable to play that. Also, the game had some slow downs when you had 4 characters on the screen. I guess there was too much data for the n64 to handle. good thing now a days is that we have seen so many hacks and mods for this game. it is much better and the emulation software is getting better and better.

too bad they were unable to release wwf backlash (the sequel) to wwf no mercy.. that would have been insane..

most people are looking for the source engine for wwf no mercy but no luck so far.

ps: for the real dudes out there, check out the brand AKI wrestling fan site dedicated to patches and rom hacks. Nextwave 64 - Index

the mods are out of this world..

Playing those acclaim games were so miserable. nikkas had to pause to check the move list so they can see the input for a simple suplex. Control scheme was hot trash. And then the WCW PS games were worse(Nitro and Thunder :scust: ) Only good wrestling game was WCW vs the world(which didn’t even have the full roster) and then there was a long wait before SD

While we are on the subject of 90's wrestling games, :gucci: at the roster for Warzone:

:gucci: at Bret, Bulldog, and Ahmed all being gone from the WWF by the time it dropped

:gucci: at The Headbangers being on the roster. They should have put the New Age Outlaws in their place instead.
Bret had the highest overall rating in the game :russ:
