1984 BYU
I really don't see how it can be any team besides '84 BYU. They played ONE ranked team the whole year. Their Holiday Bowl win was against a 6-6 Michigan team
people can bytch about the BCS era, im not a huge fan myself, but shyt was a total clusterfukk back in the day. at least in the BCS they would have played another top 10 team
what was the story of the 90 season? did every major program lose 2+ ? i was never clear about why Colorado and GT split and why that season is frowned upon

Never said they didn't deserve it. Thread is about the worst teams to have won. I don't think they were that impressive is all. No great players and didn't even go undefeated in the ACC.
we're done here.
GT beat a good ass UVa squad that had the OTHER Sean Jones and I wanna say Herman Moore was on that squad...Colorado beat ND in the ONLY time I've ever rooted for ND. fukkin Ricky Watters blocking in the back on a Rocket Ismail KO return for TD still gets me heated...Colorado was the clear cut #1 imo tho
w/o a doubt 91 is more debatable to me
We were undefeated (i.e. didn't lose) beating the #1 ranked UVA team on the road in Charlottesville in one of the best games I ever saw Couple that with beating the breaks off the same Nebraska team that Colorado barely beat.
And @ having no "great" players meaning you shouldn't have won the championship.
So I guess the 04 pistons don't count using that logic?
By the way, marco coleman (the all american line backer at GT drafted round 1, pick 12) was NFL rookie defensive player of the year and played for 15 years.
