For some reason, this thread reminds of my childhood years where we'd have Sunday dinners together as a family and my aunt would not let us have any cake or dessert until we ate all of our collard greens. It was specifically the greens too.

I remember me and my cousins/siblings used to force those greens down just to get to the carrot cake or sweet potato pie. Sometimes, we'll stack up the collard greens on someone else's plate and have that person eat it all for us lol. Good times.
