A Black Woman liking any type of Anime from our generation existed but was still rare. I lived in a mixed neighborhood growing up and still maybe 1 out of 10 black girls my age watched sailor moon.
The rest of them was watching hip hop vids and becoming over-sexualized as young as age 10 talking about "I suck the best" and shyt like that, not as grimey as today's young kids but still in the wrong direction nonetheless.
It's not so much them liking anime that is the talking point but preferring something ALTERNATIVE to the mainstream which a lot of these brothers can't seem to understand. If she bought you a Dhali Lama book or some shyt I'd still be surprised all the same.

I've observed this as well. And it's really a sign that this is all on purpose.
If you notice most Black Women who grew up with a Father in their life are ostracized and don't feel like they "belong".
They are not looked up to by other Black Women and are avoided. So then they tend to be overlooked by the majority of Black Men. Because if a Brother tries to hang with her he'll get shamed for it. "Why are you checking for weird chicks" by both Black Men and Black Women.
The "Myra" dynamic is not as Black and White as the show Family Matters portrays it to be. There is a spectrum but usually the cut off is having several male role models and not conducting yourself like a THOT.
The problem with these Plain Jane Black Women is they themselves will be subject to psychological trauma similar to their hoodrat sisters. So even if you try and Wife one up, you'll be dealing with her emotional issues sourced from being ostracized in childhood as well as any homegirls around her currently pressuring her to look or act a certain way. This dysfunctional group think mentality is yet another primary reason why 75% of our homes are led by Single Baby Mommas. Some of them are Plain Jane's who didn't have the confidence to think for themselves.
We as Men however are different. I am starting to believe that this dysfunctional system can only exist in an environment with low or misdirected Testosterone levels.
When you have low Testosterone levels you have the SIMP.
When you have high misdirected Testosterone levels you have the criminal thug. Basically a man with high testosterone but raised by Women. It is possible to be high in estradiol as well as Testosterone which leads to severe unpredictability, aggression and mood changes. It is a problem because good high T leads to increased focus whereas misdirected T leads to outbursts and emotionally instability, the same as Estrogen.
When you have NORMAL, balanced and OPTIMAL range Testosterone levels you have the invisible brethren who seemingly DO NOT exist in the community. They are focused on the grind, not flashy and therefore invisible to most of the community that has been programmed by Massa to only looks for shiny things.
The third party only becomes visible once they have obtained sufficient wealth to the point in which they are comfortable enough to "shine" because their legacy and nest egg has been secured. By then, it is too late for most sisters to acquire this man as he has been working 10+ years on this with little to no assistance. This separation period has severed all ties and now he is no longer a de facto member of the community that is the sons and daughters of slaves. He is a member of the "Global" community. For these Men I have an alternative proposition which is to start fresh, invest in Africa and connect with African Women.
