Gonna add one of my personal favorites, Mike Marshall, to the the list. He was the singer for Timex Social Club back in the 80's and did the song, Rumours, as well as the hook for, 5 On It, with the Luniz. He fell for the typical 4080 record contracts and got hooked on drugs. He's cleaned up though and is singing hooks for lots of local rap artists and even came out with his own album a couple years ago. He could have gone much further imo, but I guess it just wasn't his destiny.

Joe dropped an album like last month. It was pretty good, but he said it might be his last album. Much like a lot of the older r&b artists he doesn't feel appreciated.
