I'm not American, but I feel like burning ANY flag is disrespectful. A flag does not represent the current government or whatever, it represents all the people who have ever lived in that country, who have built it and sometimes fought for it. For me it's just basically saying "fukk you" to every single citizen of that country, with no nuance and no understanding that in every single country there are people just like you. Yes, it's just a symbol, but to me burning a flag (ANY flag) is extremely disrespectful. I don't agree with the US or Israël for example on TONS of issues, but I'd never do that. And I'd be extremely offended if someone burned the Belgian or the Centralafrican flag.
(PS: to those who say it's freedom of speech, yes it is, and so is saying "Nigg*s stink". Freedom of speech doesn't make it "right" or "ok").

@intilectual recipricol can't be taken seriously because he's a Nas hater... other than that, he's correct... you can't say No to the right to burning the flag just because you believe in America as the beacon of hope when the truth is that it's the main instigator of destruction.
The fact that we have the war on Drugs, are controlled by Apac and have limited privacy laws mean that the flag is clearly BS.

It's certainly disrespectful but some of the things the government does and allows big business to do in our country merit a disrespectful response at the very least. A terrorist act would show hatred of one's country, and even beyond that a complete lack of morals and decency towards those around them, but burning the flag wouldn't necessarily show hatred toward America. It could actually be done out of love in a way, if done to show one's anger towards the government and the general population for what we've allowed our once great country to become. Endless variables could come into play in an instance like this, just like so many other times in life, and so it's hard to pass judgment.
