That shyt was miserable. People are introvert (people hardly talk to each other outside their social group), I saw the sun 8 weeks out of the year, wore a sweater for 10 months, alcohol was triple the price (cheapest bottle of vodka was over $20 :wtf:), I had to find a connect to get weed, and taxes were 13%

This is unusual for someone from SoCal, after my year was up, I went right back to the States.
But the scenery was nice

its not totally free. I had my ex get me medicine a cpl times, and she had to pay a copay and co-insurance. Your controlled substances are very very strict, americans can get pretty much any control A drug with just a 5 min visit to a doctor, its way harder in canada. The taxes are absurd, you guys even tax water and soda by an extra $1. shyt is crazy. With the amount you guys tax on food, you could use that money to get a private insurance and get drugs easier.

We do have county hospitals in the States, they are free, and about as useless as Canadian hospitals. Your best doctors come to the States to work and get paid properly while living in a cheaper country.

Normally I like your posts but STFU. You stayed in Vancouver with some white chick for a few months and now you're the authority on Canada lmao. I can buy a soda for 50 cents....where does that 1 dollar tax come from? And Its the other way around your best drs come from Canada. If you knew anything about medical school you would know that we have some of the hardest in the world. Most Canadian Drs Cant even get into a Canadian Medical school or practice here so they move to the states.

Stick to what you know.

I used to think you were an authority on things international but based your last post im lead to believe that your full of shyt with everything you post. One thing you said about Vancouver is true though.....people are pretty close knit and Ive heard its hard to make new friends there.

IMO its not taxes. Canada is expensive in general because of importing goods. Everything is cheaper in the states.

Um, I'm not talking about a $1 soda fool, I'm talking about a bottle, from a grocery store, and in U.S dollar conversion, yes, it does come out to a dollar extra after tax. You and I both know damn well they tax the fukk out of your food, there are extra service taxes on TOP of the 13%, true or false???????????

as for the medical, I'm not talking about med school, I'm talking about where the doctors go AFTER med school, and again, you have WAY more doctors going to the U.S than doctors going to Canada, don't make me pull up links when we know fukking god damn well the migration between the 2 countries are lop sided, it is much easier for a canadian to come work in the States than it is for an American to work in Canada, I think I would know since I was an american seeking a visa in Canada and not you. I don't even know what staying with a white chick has anything to do with this discussion but yes she was a native canadian, um you learn more about a country living with a native than living alone, so that just added to me knowing more about the country at a quicker pace. :snoop:

And stop being a sensitive canadian because Im now talking about your country, you people talk shyt about america nonstop we hardly ever get upset about it, so now that the tables are turned, take the criticism, its nothing more than an outside observation, fukking relax, wipe your nose nikka.

yep. the taxes imo added to it. Now if I benefited from the taxes it wouldn't have been so bad, but I don't since I'm not a citizen, and it blew a hole thru my wallet wanting to live the same way I did back home. Mind you, I'm from LA, which isn't the cheapest, but damn, I found groceries, rental, gas, bars, almost 40% more expensive and 75% more bland and boring. Canadians are really nice, but they're just too introvert for my liking, and mind you I'm a very social person, I meet loads of people every where I go, but Vancouver was just a stalemate, plus the weather puts everyone in that mood, like I'd be in line and just strike up a convo with someone, and they'd get all awkward about it, but in the U.S we talk to each other everywhere, the one time someone was smiled and had a REAL convo.....he turned out to be from LA LOL.

The scenery was nice tho, I can't lie about that, but it's the same scenery as Seattle, so you could just hop over the border and enjoy things for much cheaper, which is exactly what canadians do. lol.
