What privileges do you speak of?
Funny bc I read a book called "White Privilege." It has been some years but if my memory serves me, it is how society simply gives white people the benefit of doubt where as black people are given the benefit of circumstance.
Example:
You see a white guy in a suit driving a '92 Tercel (

White privilege kicks in where most people will believe:
1.) he chooses to drive a "beater" to save money for a potential home purchase, retirement, his kid's sporting events, etc.
2.) he is in route to work
3.) he is wearing a suit because his is a young professional
If he was a person of color, some (not all) may tend to think:
1.) a Tercel is all he can afford and he is broke or he may have babies to take care of.
2.) he is en route to low-pay job interview (i.e. bank teller) or unemployment interview
3.) he is wearing his "only" suit for his low-level job
I am generalizing but i hope you get my drift.
