I dont even know how. I self identify as a nerd but im a conundrum. Growing up i enjoyed going to the library, reading as many books as i could. I liked writing and science fiction. Hell i was writing fanfiction when i lived in the hood. I had a lot of interests that none of the nikkas i grew up with had. But at the same time i loved football and was out playing street football daily. A lot of my friends were gang members, or grew up to be gang members. My next door neighbour and homie since way back who i used to help with his homework got caught up in a murder last year. But still somehow i was able to hang out and be cool with these type of nikkas. Even now a lot of my homies are felons. Idk where i fit

My dad grew up in 5th ward, he loved to read, he liked comic books, he read the Hobbit and LOTR, he loves science and was naturally smart not having to study or anything. He was also good in sports, naturally athletic could hang with the "thugs" or the jocks or the nerds. He had balance.

I call myself a nerd I like "nerd" things but I was a cheerleader, went out with friends. I don't think my outward appearance screams nerd. I feel like there are a lot of people like that. I don't think having certain interest make you a nerd.

My former friend collected "action figures" from around the world. I had to stop fukking with him. Lol, my female associates said it's corny.

I also stopped hanging out with some of my associates when I realized they really love video games. I love money, selling games was my job, not my passion.

I believe what one chooses to be passionate about leaks into other areas of their life. I consider myself to be quite serious. I find people who are more concerned with fictional worlds to be hard to communicate with because I'm present in reality.


I respect whatever someone chooses to be passionate about, we all have the right to pursue happiness. Mine happens to be money, food, and romance.

With that being said everybody is nerdy about something, not all nerds mix, and being a sociopath doesn't make someone a nerd, they're just fukking weirdos. Or they're retarded.
